Homemade Christmas: Teacher Gifts - Beyond the Gift Card

A few years ago things were pretty bad financially for everyone in our family. We had family members out of piece of work, family members who were also ill to work, family members who had heaps of medical bills and so on. My mother in law suggested a bootleg Christmas that year. Anytime the words "dwelling made" or "crafts" or "glue gun" are used in a judgement I go the hives. The pare on my breast turns red and burns all the manner upwards my throat to my face. I get ichy and I pretty much but freak out. Welcome to 2011, the Third year nosotros will accept a homemade Christmas.

With my lack of any sort of skill when it comes to that sort of stuff (I don't stitch, knit, cantankerous-whatever or scrapbook), I have to get a chip more clever and artistic than your normal skilled homemaker blazon person (ahem, my mother in law and sister in police). Here are some ideas I came across in my searches for the perfect gift. While these would be nice for a lot of unlike people in your life, I've selected them specifically for you to make for the teachers in your children'southward life. Most are simple enough that I could exercise them which ways that the average v yr one-time could probably do them.

PROJECTED COSTS

$ – Less than $10
$$ – Less than $15
$$$ – Less than $20
$$$$ – $twenty or more than

Marble Magnets – ($) I remember these would exist perfect! I would use them at domicile or at school if I was a teacher! Your kid can select the pictures to employ in gild to personalize the magnets and depending on your child's abilities, they could probably do most of this project themselves!

Colored Pencil Flower Vase – ($) What a beautiful display that tin can exist used yr round. I call back this vase would really brighten up a instructor's desk and mood on a common cold, rainy or snowy day!

Magnetic Letter Vase – ($) Can yous tell I miss leap time and flowers and color? Hither is an even simpler vase with very little piece of work! I recollect these ones are PERFECT for Lulu'southward (pre)preschool teachers!

Crayon Door Wreath – ($$) I love crayon crafts! Again, the cute colors simply brighten up anything. This is the perfect Christmas OR year circular wreath for anyone who works with kids. I might even desire i on our door at home because we Have kids!

Snowman Manus Sanitizer – ($) What a super cute and like shooting fish in a barrel and clever gift! Your child could totally help with this!

Mint Assortment – ($) This is an easy gift to put together. All it really takes is a quick trip to the shop and this website provides the wording for a cute card.

"Whisk You a Merry Christmas" – ($) Fill a whisk with Hershey's Kisses and wrap in plastic and necktie with a bow and note carte du jour. This website has photos with a few ideas but this was my favorite.

Starbucks Gift Box – ($$$) A clever woman put together a box with some great Starbucks trinkets INCLUDING a gift bill of fare. This is one of the most artistic gift bill of fare giving boxes I've e'er seen! Starbucks could sell them and make a killing OR you could brand one with your kid and save some coin.

Paint a Dirt Pot – ($) There are special instructions for painting a flower pot and so that information technology volition stay painted after the first rain or first fourth dimension a plant is watered. You COULD become to 1 of the pigment your own pottery places or salve some money (to put towards a plant for the pot) by following these instructions. PLUS, if yous get somewhere, you have to look days or more to get your item dorsum from being "fired" and I don't know almost you but I make up one's mind somewhat last infinitesimal that we need to make teacher gifts.

two Liter Bottle of Stuff – ($) This is one of my favorite gifts! I've seen it blimp with accessories (scarfs, jewelry, mittens, hats), Clothing (aprons, t-shirts, swim trunks), candy, food items, candles and my favorite, Greenbacks!

Candle with Monogram – ($) Buy a modest jar candle and decorate! Make a unproblematic monogram with cardstock and a die cut machine or only use STICKERS!

Thank you to my friends over at ChambanaMoms for inspiring this postal service! All photos are credited to the sites associated with the gift. None of these photos are mine.
