Southern California oestrus wave breaks records
LOS ANGELES -- Southern California baked under a oestrus wave Friday that forecasters correctly predicted would be one for the record books, with widespread triple-digit highs and increased fire danger. Officials urged residents to take advantage of cooling centers in libraries and other public facilities and to watch out for those who may exist especially vulnerable, alarm that minor heat-related illnesses tin can worsen quickly and turn fatal.
"Extreme heat tin can exist dangerous — especially for young people and seniors," Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a statement.
Torrid conditions were expected to last through Saturday earlier easing a bit Lord's day.

Evelyn Taft, a meteorologist at CBS Los Angeles, chosen the conditions "a recipe for a fire."

Residents toughing it out in the valleys around Los Angeles and in the inland region to the east faced the possibility of unhealthy air quality. Air pollution regulators said the conditions were probable to produce an atmospheric inversion that would increment ground-level ozone, which is linked to a host of respiratory troubles ranging from trouble animate to asthma attacks.
The highest fire danger stretched from Los Angeles County westward into several counties up the declension where a n wind added another element to the mix of hot, dry out air and parched vegetation. Elsewhere, the fire run a risk was characterized equally elevated.
